Julia Oldham

Julia works and lives in chicago. She recently exhibited at teh MCA 12 X 12 Gallery. Four of her videos will be featured in Volume 9 of Aspect: The Chronicle of New Media Art, a biannual DVD magazine of new media art. The videos will have a commentary track by Julie Rodrigues Widholm, Assistant Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Julia Oldham loves bugs and translates invertebrate rituals into choreography that she performs and films. The resulting performance videos are concerned with playful anthropomorphization, using dance to bridge species.
